KIMBERLITE – HIS HISTORY
This magmatic stone is little known, but has therapeutic virtues in lithotherapy. It was discovered near the town of Kimberley, South Africa, which was founded to accommodate diamond “hunters” in this rare and unique rock. This stone is ultrabasic and only comes from volcanic eruptions, making it extremely rare. Although it has a rocky, ungainly appearance with many natural fissures, it is dense and heavy, offering a feeling of security.
Stone is often presented in round, flat form after being cut. Its colors vary in several shades of gray, with touches of blue, green and black. Each stone is unique because it contains different raw elements derived from the upwelling of the earth’s crust in magma.
KIMBERLITE STONE – ITS ORIGIN AND COMPOSITION
This rock is composed of an aggregate of many elements, some of which are volatile such as water and carbon dioxide, as well as ultramafic elements such as magnesium and/or iron, and potassium. These elements are naturally incompatible and could not bind together without a force as powerful as a volcanic eruption.
At the time of its discovery, Kimberlite was mainly mined to recover the diamonds that naturally formed there. These diamonds were easily recoverable because the rock was highly decomposed in the upper layers. Due to the presence of limonite in the local soil, the rock was colored yellow and called “yellow earth”. It was only by digging deeper that we succeeded in extracting a pure rock called “blue earth”. The main natural minerals present in Kimberlite are olivine and phlogoPite, as well as garnets and, as previously mentioned, diamonds and crystals, albeit in lesser quantities.
KIMBERLITE STONE – VERTIES AND PROPERTIES
KIMBERLITE ON THE PSYCHOLOGICAL LEVEL
Kimberlite has many psychologically and sPiritually beneficial effects, which can be applied both in everyday life and in emotionally complex and difficult situations. Its weight, which is both heavy and reassuring, provides support, comfort and protection, but in the event of persistent troubles, it is important to consult a doctor in addition to undergoing lithotherapy treatment.
In addition, Kimberlite is one of the few lithotherapy stones to support the connection between the seven chakras and the eighth chakra, commonly called the Earth Star chakra, which connects individuals to their heritage through their roots. With the help of Kimberlite, it is therefore easier to overcome temporary emotional and affective difficulties that can sometimes seem insurmountable. What’s more, the various minerals present in this stone, which clung together during its magmatic ascent, offer complementary virtues, such as olivine, known to boost self-confidence, or serpentine, which has highly relaxing properties.
KIMBERLITE ON THE PHYSICAL LEVEL
Kimberlite, a stone native to the town of Kimberley, has many virtues on the psychological level, but it is also useful on the physical level. It is often placed at the entrance to homes, on doors and windows, to protect against waves and negative thoughts that could affect health. Kimberlite is considered a genuine “anti-stress tool” and is reputed to promote muscular and nervous relaxation. However, it is important to consult a health professional to rule out any underlying pathology explaining these disorders.
KIMBERLITE STONE – HOW TO WEAR IT
When you buy a lithotherapy stone, it’s advisable to discharge the energies that have been stored by the people who have handled it before wearing it. It is often thought more effective to hold it in the hand, to help connect the various chakras to the Earth Star chakra and allow it to recharge naturally, but it is also possible to wear Kimberlite as a pendant. The stone’s contact with the skin promotes its physical and mental effects. If you prefer, you can also keep it in one of your pockets or even in a bag, as its powerful properties also act, albeit to a lesser extent.
KIMBERLITE STONE – CLEAN AND RECHARGE
To ensure that the psychological and physical properties of Kimberlite last over time, it’s important to maintain it regularly if you wear it daily. Find out more about our various tips and best practices to adopt when wearing it.
The most common technique for recharging a lithotherapy stone is to leave it in the sun for several hours, then rinse it with clear water to remove any deposits. If you wear it regularly and its effects are largely attenuated, it’s possible to bury it for a few days or weeks in fertile, life-rich soil, taking care to mark the spot for easy retrieval.
To purify Kimberlite, the simplest and most effective technique is to soak it in demineralized water for a few hours, then wipe it off with a clean cloth. In addition, we recommend placing the stone for a few hours on a Pile of sea salt, which will naturally discharge the negative energies accumulated when it was in contact with other people. The fumigation technique is also available, using incense, sandalwood or Armenian paper. Simply immerse the stone in the smoke released by the combustion of these elements.

KIMBERLITE STONE SUMMARY
Kimberlite stone is a blue-gray or green volcanic rock found mainly in areas of the world where diamonds are mined, such as Africa, Australia and Canada. Kimberlite is important because it often contains diamond deposits, which are formed at great depths and transported to the surface by volcanic eruptions. Geologists use geophysical methods to identify potential areas of kimberlite, then drill to recover rock samples for laboratory analysis. Kimberlite discoveries can lead to the creation of diamond mines, which are often essential to the economy of certain regions of the world.
