PINAS – HIS STORY

The divine couple in Egyptian myth gave rise to two names that are used in lithotherapy. Isis, the goddess who resurrected her husband Osiris after his murder, became the symbol of eternal life. On the other hand, Osiris has become a symbol of healing power and present destiny. The two names are often represented by two inseparable stones and are associated with the concept of Yin Yang.

PINAS STONE – ITS ORIGIN AND COMPOSITION

The stones known as Pina Concretions (Isis and Osiris) were discovered by Karen GillesPie, an American medium in 1972. They consist mainly of iron and sandstone, and are often coated with pyrite, which is not stably crystallized, making them very fragile. The hardness of these stones is between 6 and 7 on the Mohs scale, which measures the hardness of minerals on a scale of 1 to 10.

These stones have a spherical shape and can measure between a few millimeters and 10 centimeters. Each surface has a different crystallization that can be more or less smooth. Smooth surfaces represent the goddess, the feminine Yin polarity, while surfaces with asperities evoke the god, the masculine Yang polarity.

Deposits of these stones are mainly found in sandstone deposits, notably in Madagascar, Arizona and Brazil. They have several trade names such as Roche du Chaman, Boji, Moqui Balls or Moqui Marble. However, some lithotheraPists consider that their naming depends on their energetic strength.

PINE STONE – VERTIES AND PROPERTIES

Pina Concretions in pairs are endowed with earthly energies that confer virtues not only on the psychological level, but also on the physical.

PINAS ON THE PSYCHOLOGICAL LEVEL

Rock crystals have the ability to release old patterns and heal painful memories by removing blockages and frozen emotions. They also promote memory, concentration and energy rebalancing. This is why they are particularly beneficial for bipolar.

Astral travel with Pinas

The joint use of these two rocks promotes astral travel, one in each hand, and it is recommended to combine them with a black tourmaline to promote anchoring and a cacoxenite to accentuate their effects. A 15-20 minute meditation using these stones is recommended, seated without crossing the legs and with the black tourmaline between the legs. It is advisable to be accompanied by a professional for the first few sessions. For right-handed people, the feminine polarity should be held in the left hand and the masculine polarity, with more asperities, in the right hand, but this can vary from person to person. In this case, a rose quartz pendulum can be used to determine in which hand to hold each polarity.

In case of physical injury, the stones can be placed on either side of the wound. After a meditation session, it’s essential to energetically recharge these minerals. For Pina Concretions, their purification can be carried out by exposing them to the sun or with incense for 15 minutes, and they can be recharged with a scallop shell, pendulum or rose quartz geode. They should never be used with water.

PHYSICAL PINAS

These two stones have the ability to regenerate damaged tissue, like the goddess who put her husband’s body back together. They also promote emotional stability and, through the body’s meridians, stimulate energy circulation.

WHERE DOES THE NAME PINAS COME FROM?

The name “Pinas” comes from the place of origin of this natural stone, which is a quarry located in the Pinas region of Spain. This quarry is known for the quality of the stone it produces, which is used in many construction and renovation projects in Europe and around the world. The quarry’s name, “Pinas”, therefore became associated with the natural stone it produces, and so Pinas stone was named.
